80 mm billing rolls
Primary POS receipt standard for SmartConnect supermarket, bakery and hotel counters.
AIDC HardwareAIDC hardware & media
Inovatiq Infotech supplies billing thermal paper, barcode labels, RFID tags and readers, thermal-transfer ribbons, Citizen and TSC printers, scanners, POS devices and handhelds — then connects them to SmartConnect for asset management, inventory accuracy and automated stock receive / dispatch.
Media and RFID programmes are mapped to industry floors — retail & e-commerce, manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, hospitality and construction — with QA against industry norms so print and read quality hold across Tamil Nadu, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Labels · industry mapping
Shelf, product, shipping and asset labels sized for the industries that search for AIDC media — same page as RFID and QA.

Label media
Shelf, product, jewellery, garment, shipping and carton labels sized for Citizen and TSC print widths. Choose direct thermal for short-life retail tags, or thermal-transfer paper/synthetic for longer warehouse and industry life.
Billing thermal paper
Standard 80 mm and 57 mm billing rolls for SmartConnect POS, hotel KOT and retail counters.
POS consumables
Aligned with common thermal-sensitive paper requirements used in POS markets: uniform coat, free from tears/creases, and dimensions as declared on the pack.

Primary POS receipt standard for SmartConnect supermarket, bakery and hotel counters.
For portable printers, kiosks and kitchen stations where width is tight.
Keep sealed, away from heat/humidity and sunlight so image life matches the grade.
Quality & size ups
Pick the size for the job — jewellery tags to 4×6 shipping — then match ribbon width 2–5 mm wider than the label.

Size guidance
Widths and lengths below are industry-common formats for Citizen/TSC desktop printers. Custom die-cuts and upsizing available on request.
| Application | Typical size (W × L) | Print method | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jewellery / small tags | 25 × 15 to 40 × 20 mm | DT / TT | Fine barcode; resin if abrasion risk |
| Product / shelf labels | 50 × 25, 50 × 30, 60 × 40 mm | Direct thermal or wax TT | High volume retail marking |
| Garment / hang tags | 40 × 60, 50 × 75 mm | Wax-resin preferred | Better smudge resistance |
| Asset / bin labels | 70 × 50, 80 × 50 mm | Wax-resin / resin | Longer life in warehouse |
| Shipping / logistics | 100 × 150 mm (4 × 6 in) | Wax or wax-resin | Pairs with ~110 mm ribbon |
| Custom size-ups | On request | Matched media + ribbon | Die-cut to your SKU / carton |
Barcode ribbons for industry
Thermal-transfer ribbons sized Width × Length (m). Choose chemistry for the environment, not only the price.

Paper labels, high volume, lowest cost. Best for indoor retail and short-cycle shipping labels.
Better smear resistance on semi-gloss and some synthetics — logistics, outdoor carton, asset tags.
Highest durability for chemicals, heat and abrasion — automotive, healthcare, harsh manufacturing.
40–110 mm typical; 110 mm × 300 m popular for 4″ shipping. Always select ribbon slightly wider than the label.
Industry tip Wrong ribbon + label pairs cause light barcodes and printhead wear. We validate combinations before bulk supply for manufacturing, FMCG, pharma and logistics sites.
RFID
Radio-Frequency Identification reads unique IDs wirelessly into SmartConnect for inventory, assets and track & trace.

What is RFID?
An RFID reader emits RF energy. A passive tag harvests that energy, wakes its chip and returns a unique ID — no contact and no barcode line-of-sight. The reader forwards IDs to SmartConnect ERP, POS or warehouse so stock and assets update in real time.
How to use RFID
A practical path your retail or factory team can repeat every day.
Typical RFID workflow Item / asset master → Encode or attach RFID tag → Commission ID → Read at GRN / gate / shelf → Update SmartConnect → Exception handling & audit
Apply a UHF hang-tag, label inlay or on-metal tag matched to the product.
Write / bind EPC or asset ID in SmartConnect so the tag maps to the SKU or serial.
Use handheld, dock portal or shelf reader at receipt, move, count or dispatch.
Inventory, WIP and location update automatically — exceptions go to the floor team.

On the floor
RFID tag types
Tag form factors: wet inlays, paper labels, hard tags, hang tags and on-metal tags.

Tag catalogue
Passive tags (no battery) dominate retail and factory. Choose frequency for range and environment — then match housing for apparel, liquid, metal or outdoor use.
| Type | Frequency | Typical range | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| LF | 125–134 kHz | Contact to ~10 cm | Access, animal ID, high-liquid / metal niches |
| HF / NFC | 13.56 MHz | cm to ~1 m | Library, cards, cabinets, phone tap / authenticity |
| UHF (RAIN) | 860–960 MHz | Metres; bulk reads | Retail item inventory, cartons, assets, logistics |
| Paper / hang-tag inlays | UHF | Item-level | Apparel, footwear, accessories |
| On-metal / hard tags | UHF or HF | Depends on design | Machines, racks, returnable containers |
| EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-63 | UHF standard | — | Interoperable supply-chain tagging |
RFID readers
Readers decode tags and stream IDs to your host — mobile for audits, fixed for gates and conveyors.

Store and warehouse cycle counts, asset walks and spot checks — paired with SmartConnect mobile workflows.
Dock doors, packing lanes and corridors for continuous carton and pallet visibility.
Circular / linear antennas sized for portals, shelves and workstations.
Phone sleds or native NFC for short-range taps — authentication and consumer engagement.
Retail RFID
UHF item tagging for apparel and specialty retail — faster counts, fewer stockouts, omnichannel-ready stock.

Store & DC
Industry outcome Retail UHF programmes commonly lift inventory accuracy well above manual cycle-count baselines (often cited toward 95%+ when executed well).
Factory RFID
Manufacturing and warehouse RFID for work-in-progress, bins, cages and finished goods gates.

Plant & logistics
Commission tags when the unit or tote enters the cell.
Fixed readers confirm moves between stores and stages.
Missing or duplicate IDs surface before the truck leaves.
RFID asset management flow
Implementation flow for IT assets, plant tools, fixtures, cages and reusable containers — mapped to manufacturing, construction, healthcare and education sites.
Asset management flow Asset master → Tag / on-metal encode → Assign custodian & site → Handheld or gate audit → Update location in SmartConnect → Exception & depreciation audit
Create the asset in SmartConnect with serial, category, site and custodian.
Apply UHF hard or on-metal tags; commission the EPC to the asset ID.
Walk rooms or gates with a handheld — bulk-read without line-of-sight.
Location, checkout and missing-asset alerts update automatically.

Industry use
RFID inventory management flow
Item-level or carton-level UHF inventory for retail, apparel, FMCG, pharma and warehouse — cycle counts that finish in hours, not days.
Inventory management flow Item master / SKU → Encode hang-tag or inlay → Put-away & bin → Cycle count / shelf read → Expected vs actual in SmartConnect → Adjust & re-order signals
SKU, pack size and location rules live in SmartConnect ERP or POS.
Commission EPC at source, GRN or packing — bind tag to SKU / serial.
Handheld or shelf antennas read many tags per pass — no line-of-sight.
System posts variance, stockouts and overstock with audit detail.

Accuracy outcomes
SEO focus RFID inventory management system, UHF stock accuracy, retail RFID inventory, warehouse RFID cycle count.
Stock receive & dispatch automation
Automate GRN and dispatch reads so shortages, misships and blind counts drop — for logistics hubs, factories and retail DCs.
Receive & dispatch flow ASN / PO or pick list → Tagged cartons / pallets → Portal or dock read → Match expected IDs → Auto GRN or dispatch post → Exception queue → Truck release
ASN, purchase order or pick wave sets the expected tag set in SmartConnect.
Fixed portal / dock antennas capture inbound or outbound tags in one pass.
System compares expected vs read — flags missing, extra or wrong IDs.
GRN or dispatch updates stock automatically with time-stamped accuracy.

Automation benefits
SEO focus RFID stock receive automation, RFID dispatch verification, dock-door RFID, automated GRN accuracy.
Portal confirms ASN lines; SmartConnect posts put-away-ready stock.
Gate read vs pick list stops wrong cartons before seal.
Exception queues drive re-read until the load matches 100% of expected tags.
RFID benefits
Speed, accuracy and visibility — without scanning every item one by one.
